Job description

About the role 

As a QA Engineer at Ultimo, you are an essential part of our development team. You ensure that new and improved functionality meets our quality standards and acceptance criteria before it reaches our customers. You collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to continuously improve the Ultimo platform. 

You combine analytical thinking with a strong quality mindset and enjoy working in an Agile/Scrum environment. 

 

What you’ll do 

  • Test changes developed by colleagues against defined specifications and acceptance criteria 

  • Contribute to improving functionality and overall product quality 

  • Define test specifications and acceptance criteria 

  • Set up and execute UI, automated, and manual tests 

  • Document and report test cases, test results, and test data 

  • Advise on quality improvements and risk areas 

  • Approve implemented changes prior to merge and release 

  • Help maintain and continuously improve the Ultimo platform

Job requirements

What you bring 

Experience & knowledge 

  • 3–5 years of relevant work experience as a QA Engineer or Software Tester 

  • Strong command of spoken and written English 

  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment 

  • Technical knowledge of XML, SQL, and similar technologies 

  • Experience with software development and test automation tools 

  • Familiarity with TMAP and/or ISTQB methodologies 

  • Affinity with new technologies and modern testing approaches 

Product & tooling 

  • Experience with test automation at an intermediate level 

  • Ability to work independently on complex test scenarios 

  • Experience with configuration tools and product knowledge is a plus (Ultimo experience is an advantage, but not required)
