Product Owner (Technical)

Description

As Product Owner, you will work with a technically oriented product team responsible for a broad platform domain, including cloud architecture (Azure), security components (such as WAF), an agentic AI platform and internal tooling for consultants and internal users.

You are responsible for guiding and prioritizing technical platform initiatives rather than end-user business functionality. The environment is dynamic, with multiple parallel initiatives, technical dependencies and input from various internal and external stakeholders.

You act as the central point for intake, prioritization and clarification of work, translating complex technical and functional topics into clear, actionable backlog items for the development team. You bring focus and structure to complex initiatives, challenge over-engineering and help ensure the team works on the right priorities at the right time.

Scope & responsibilities

• Shape and maintain a clear product vision for platform and AI capabilities aligned with organizational goals

• Own and evolve core platform components such as cloud infrastructure (Azure), security mechanisms (e.g. WAF), agentic AI capabilities and internal tooling

• Collect input from internal and external stakeholders and translate, simplify and structure requirements into clear, actionable solutions and initiatives

• Balance long-term platform direction with short-term, incremental delivery

• Manage dependencies, risks and technical constraints across multiple parallel initiatives

• Prioritize and sequence work based on impact, urgency and dependencies

• Prepare and refine backlog items so the team can deliver with minimal ambiguity

• Facilitate clear decision-making when trade-offs or conflicting inputs arise

• Support initiatives in moving from exploration to delivery

 Required experience and knowledge

• (in)direct product owner experience

• Experience working in complex technical domains such as platform engineering, cloud infrastructure or security-oriented products

• Familiarity with AI, LLM and agent-based concepts and terminology (deep ML expertise is not required)

• Comfortable working with Agile/Scrum teams and iterative delivery models

• Strong communication skills in both spoken and written English

• Pragmatic mindset with a strong focus on delivery, outcomes and continuous improvement
